About Impria

Software for the people who make books.

Impria is the production OS for book publishers — the engine that turns manuscripts into publisher-approved editions.

Why we built Impria

The handwork

Book production moves a manuscript among editors, designers, typesetters, conversion services, and distribution systems. Each handoff can mean re-entering title data and rebuilding files in another system.

What we built

Impria connects editing, cover production, typesetting, and export through one title record. The edited text, cover files, print-ready PDF, and EPUB remain connected throughout the production run.

How we think about it

The engine produces; people approve. Impria was built with working editors, and we distinguish measured results from targets. Your team reviews and approves every output before release.

A title record should do more than hold files. It should connect the work of production.

How it works

One title, from submission to royalties.

  1. 01

    Submission and deal

A manuscript arrives from an agent or the slush pile. Impria reads its structure, and the evaluation and the shape of the deal stay with the title.

  2. 02

    Contract and rights

Draft the contract or ingest one you already signed. Impria surfaces the clauses and financial terms for legal and publisher review; the agreed rights sit on the title record.

  3. 03

    Editorial and production

Specialist editorial passes, then cover, typesetting, translation, ISBN, and metadata. Your editors decide what ships.

  4. 04

    Launch

The PR brief is drafted from the book itself, press materials and publicity graphics are prepared, and metadata feeds reach your distribution channels.

  5. 05

    Sales and royalties

Sales, revenue, stock, and reprint decisions land against the same title, and carry through to royalty statements.

The production stage ends in four publisher-approved outputs.
